Kosmopolitan Design is an Architecture and Interior Design practice based in Hong Kong.
We focus on high-quality projects based on original and compelling concepts.
We rely on a solid team of professionals with proven experience in project development, from small residential units to world-renown architectural projects.
Our projects are based on passion and attention to detail.
We blend into the culture and styles of where we work, privileging the study of the location, including its natural elements and historical background.
We respect the nature and take seriously matters of sustainability, environmental responsibility and energy saving, knowing that this will impact the future of our cities.
We are very aware of our responsibility as architects and how our decisions influence the future of people’s way of life. Hence, in all of our projects, the client’s requirements and ambitions are a fundamental part of what we design.
In a world where services are progressively moving online, while we are also facing restrictions to meeting and travelling, our practice has developed an online design service allowing us to serve clients globally.

Juan Carlos Sanchez Rodriguez

Founder of KOSMOPOLITAN DESIGN and co-founder of KOSMOPOLITAN ONLINE. Juan Carlos is a qualified Architect based full time in Hong Kong where for eight years he was part of the Foster + Partners design team as an Associate.

Passionate about design and architecture, he holds bachelor degrees as a Design Architect from European and American Universities, and Masters degrees in Architectural Presentation Techniques and Building Organization and Development Techniques from European Universities.

He has accumulated important experiences working for more than 10 years in world class architectural firms including F+P, where he has contributed in all the stages of the design process in a number of successful and high profile projects in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia.

Shinji Miyazaki

Shinji is one our key collaborators. A former Associate Partner at Foster+Partners, during 10 years at the firm he has led multiple projects of various type and scale, including office towers, high-end residential buildings, villas, hospitality facilities and masterplan designs, as well as bespoken furniture design.

He has completed a 40-story Head Office for a major bank in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and an iconic Corporative Head Office in Cupertino, US. After he left Foster+Partners, Shinji begun working freelance as an architectural and interior design advisor in the UK and Japan, closely cooperating with Creative Agency Anyhow Ltd from London.

Currently Shinji serves as an advisory board member of Archi Hatch, Japan.
